The Situation 'Surmises' Effect of Oil Spill

Posted by: Carly Hallam | July 14, 2010 at 5:00PM

In an interview with New York Magazine, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino gave his opinion about the oil spill's effect on beach culture:

How do you think the oil spill is going to affect beach culture in America?
Wow, that’s a good question. Very good question. Can we repeat that for a second? Let me hear that one again.

You want to take a deep breath?
Yeah, I’ll take a breath. Let me hear that one again.

How is the oil spill going to affect beach culture in America?
You know what, obviously the oil spill is definitely going to affect beach culture in America for probably a number of years, I would surmise. It will probably affect a lot of kids, in not a good way.

Oh, did I say he "gave his opinion"? I meant he repeated the question and added the words "obviously", "definitely", "probably", and, as a bonus, "surmise".

At the end of the interview, The Situation high-fived his abs and said, "Finally! Our word of the day calendar came in handy!"

'Jersey Shore' Season 2 Looks Like Tosh.0

Posted by: Carly Hallam | June 30, 2010 at 5:00PM

Until watching this preview for the second season of Jersey Shore I never realized how many similarities the MTV phenom had with Tosh.0. Based solely on the clip above I've come up with the following list of themes shared between the two shows:

Homoerotic behavior, drinking, fighting, nudity, ball jokes, sex jokes, people in hot tubs, people falling, people needing redemption, bad sound effects, feelings being hurt, vaginas being hurt, and, finally, people angrily slurring, "After I had sex with Vinnie you had sex with Vinnie!?"
