Here is the video of “Shine” by Final Placement, a Christian Rock Band from Midland, Texas. If you’ve been living in a cave for the last week, that’s awesome. If not, you’ve probably seen this video and followed the fury of Internet backlash aimed at Final Placement.
On Monday, the lead guitarist in the video set the record straight on this message board by saying that he apologized for the train wreck of the song, which he played to simply help a friend. He tried to clear both his and the drummer’s name by claiming that they are not actually members of Final Placement.
The message board got messy with people telling him not to throw his friends under the bus and to own up to the shit show “Shine”. The conversation between the lead guitarist and Internet strangers got pretty amusing but my favorite comment came from Nico.
What do you guys think? Should we give Final Placement a Web Redemption?
Is this their life? Is this their time? Is it gonna be alright? Are they gonna shine? Should we give them a second chance? A brand new day? Should Tosh.0 help Final Placement find a way?
